Efficient Video Watermarking in Selected Frames Based on Fibonacci Series for Ownership Proof

Many researchers in the past literatures have proven that watermarking is the remarkable technique for ownership proof and copyright protection. Especially in video, it takes ample time to embed watermark & also for the extraction due to redundancy of watermark embedding. Solution to this problem is to embed the watermark in any one frame, which may be decided at random, but due to frame dropping attack it is difficult to extract the watermark. One more solution to this problem is to identify the key-frames and embed the watermark in the key-frames only. This solution proves best for so many attacks like frame dropping, frame collusion and frame averaging. But limitation is to identify the exact key-frames, so to overcome this issue, in this paper author propose, selection of frame for watermarking as per Fibonacci series. This scheme will save the time to identify the different scenes or key-frames & will give better performance with time complexity O(n) & the same effect when it is difficult to identify the key-frames. Also watermark extraction saves much time as compared to previous schemes by applying a condition that if watermark is recovered from the first frames or any subsequent frame then there is no need to extract the watermark from the next subsequent frames which saves a huge time. Thus, this will be an effective scheme till date. It is shown that Fibonacci Series based watermark embedding proves to be efficient in time & best for ownership proof.
